Andrew Aravanis
Andrew is the founder and Principal at Aravanis, one of the largest registered bankruptcy trustee firms in Australia.
He has been a Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy for over a decade, with 25 years’ experience in personal and corporate insolvency and is a member of CPA Australia. He’s the principal trustee of Aravanis.
Andrew began his career in insolvency as a Senior Assistant Official Receiver at the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA). After seven years, he became a senior accountant before moving into a management position for a corporate insolvency firm. Here he worked on the administration of both corporate and personal insolvency matters before joining Fox Symes & Associates as their Operations Manager. Andrew held this (as well as various other titles) for five years before successfully registering as a Trustee and forming Aravanis Insolvency Pty Ltd as a division of the FSA Group Ltd in 2005.
Since then, Andrew’s been at the forefront of Aravanis’ growth. The firm now employs over 35 staff, including two additional registered trustees, while Andrew has administered more than 3,500 personal insolvency matters. With extensive experience in all areas of corporate and personal insolvency administrations, including those with AFSA, he’s one of the industry’s most widely respected trustees.
Andrew is a huge tennis fan and is a dedicated Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs supporter. He’s an active member of the Rotary Club of Strathfield and enjoys the occasional ‘5-mile walk punctuated with disappointment’ (otherwise known as golf).
