The nurses give us a jab in the arm and government give the nurses a stab in the back!
Government pay rise above inflation gives Ministers of the Crown 3.1% pay rise in 2020 for sitting on their backsides when Nurses are only getting a 1% pay rise in 2021. Why is it impossible to find out where the money comes from when Ministers decide to give themselves a pay rise and why is there a song and dance of giving a decent wage increase when the leader of the Government states: “Where do you think I will be able to get the money to pay you what you were hoping for.”
It’s not what nurses stand for as a vocation as one lady MP stated as she smiled with smugness after receiving her 3.1% pay rise, it is their expertise in caring for someone who has a terminal illness. It is their knowledge of caring for the elderly and the vulnerable, as well as the poor and homeless. This lady M.P. is quoted as saying “They should be grateful for what they’ve got.”
Another MP stated: “Sometimes people don’t know they’re born!” MP who receives a salary of £74,962, plus expenses. It makes you wonder about people and when you think that these people are running this country, there’s no hope and I bet there is not one nurse that goes home with a salary of £74,962. The one thing that crosses my mind is that the nurses have a much more responsible job than some of the cranks who talk through their backsides about nothing* and another statement by this MP: “If they are not happy with their pay they should quit.” Just like a conservative – shoot yourself in the foot! Now their pay has risen to £82,000 – that’s a hefty percentage Prime Minister – I wonder where you got the money from?
And now to add insult to injury Hospital staff have to pay for parking their cars at their place of work even through this Coronavirus Pandemic – just how callous can people get – money grabbers – everything seems to be orientated around money and how can the government and local councils steal it legally!
*When MP’s spent three and half hours discussing if the leader of the opposition said something disrespectful about the Prime Minister and the speaker at that time didn’t hear or see it.
