I always thought that you had to be proved guilty by a court of law by the proper authority, not by a private company, such as the POST OFFICE BOSSES or the FUJITSU COMPANY that owned the HORIZON COMPUTER SYSTEM. The POST OFFICE BOSSES stated on each case that nobody else had problems with the HORIZON COMPUTER installed by FUJITSU COMPANY. They lied about that!
The POST OFFICE BOSSES and FUJITSU COMPANY EMPLOYEES LIED IN COURT. Shouldn’t they all have been sent to prison for PERJURY for such a serious CRIME? Perhaps they thought they were playing Monopoly and had been given a FREE PASS. The FUJITSU EMPLOYEES even had access to the HORIZON COMPUTER to change EACH SUBPOST OFFICE FINAL AMOUNT and they lied about that!
In 2022 our Government awarded FUJITSU a £52 MILLION CONTRACT without competition. The contract was to replace FUJITSU SERVICES and for IT FUJITSU COMPANY PROJECT SERVICES. We can all see where the Tax-Payer’s money is going, can’t we?!
The Government lied about that the Tax-Payer would not be involved in paying for the Government’s mistake when they employed FUJITSU COMPANY in supplying the POST OFFICE with the HORIZON riddled with faults COMPUTER!
The BANNER HEADLINE NEWS is FUJITSU was behind the faulty HORIZON IT SYSTEM which played a crucial role in what was described as the BIGGEST MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE in British legal history.
Between 1999 and 2015, at least 736 sub postmasters were wrongly convicted of fraud and theft based on evidence from the Horizon system.
Government Contracts: Despite its involvement in this scandal, Fujitsu has continued to receive government contracts. It is still one of the government’s ‘Strategic Suppliers’, typically receiving more than £100 million in contracts per year. Over the past decade, Fujitsu has made billions from government jobs.
Now the TORY GOVERNMENT are dragging their feet in repaying those who have been wrongly accused by having a public inquiry! For what reason? It seems to me cut and dried and the compensation needs to be given, like yesterday, especially when FUJITSU COMPANY has agreed to contribute to the compensation for wrongly convicted sub-postmasters, who are entitled to at least £600,000 each.
The Government backed Post Office CEO’s didn’t drag their feet when they persecuted all those innocent Sub Postmasters and even some were sent to prison and then the head of Fujitsu bribed the widow of the Sub Postmaster who committed suicide with a moderate sum of money with the promise that the widow wouldn’t say anything bad about Horizon, surely that should be a punishable offence and that person, CEO of Horizon should go to prison! What on earth is this government playing at allowing this to happen?
In a summary, while FUJITSU’S involvement in the HORIZON’S SCANDAL remains under scrutiny, the UK GOVERNMENT’S decision to AWARD them a contract has sparked controversy and demands for accountability.
It seems as usual that the TORIES have shot themselves in the foot by making wrong decisions. They don’t seem to realise that telling the truth and being honest about issues that matter would make this nation trust them, but unfortunately alas, it’s too late now. They have shown their true colours!
