“INTEGRITY, PROFESSIONALISM AND ACCOUNTABILITY” – where have I heard these words before, ah yes, now I remember our new Prime Minister. These words could have been plucked randomly out of the Chamber’s Dictionary at the time, possibly to appease the population. Another phrase “Trust is earned and I will earn yours!” I just need to borrow some more words from ‘Yes Minister’ Hacker: “Do you see it is your job that Ministers make fools of themselves!” Humphrey: “I never met one that needed any help!”
As we seem to have another farce in the Houses of Parliament running parallel with repeats of “Yes Minister” it was too good an opportunity to miss the comparison we are experiencing in real life. Like all manifesto’s promises they are lost in Risky Sunhat’s memory and it is a quirky reminder to us all that the Conservatives have the sole rights of this anomaly. It is one of their little tricks of promising something better to get votes, so they can stay in power and protect their backers of millionaires who support them.
Quickly scanning the Risky’s maiden speech were the words “STRENGTHEN THE NHS” (That’s why they are on strike). The promise of levelling up different areas of the United Kingdom with billions of pounds, the government could have given the money to the NHS had they used their grey cells like Agatha Christie’s Poirot. We are losing top people – Doctors, Nurses and Carers every day because the CONS haven’t the skill of running the country. They seem that self-gratification of conning people with promises they never keep
“SAFER STREETS” Lighting that doesn’t quite meet the criteria for people to walk in safety, PAVEMENTS that are cracked and at TRIPPING LEVEL and POT HOLES that damage vehicles and this has been the norm since the CONS have been in power.
“BETTER SCHOOLS” that seem to be closing down because the buildings have never been maintained properly because lack of funds.
THE STRIKERS: The listing is getting longer and longer – RAIL WORKERS, BUS WORKERS, ROYAL MAIL, NURSES, AMBULANCE WORKERS, DRIVING EXAMINERS, NATIONAL HIGHWAYS STAFF, TEACHERS, RURAL PAYMENTS AGENCY, DOCTORS AND PHYSIOTHERAPISTS – That doesn’t sound like a Prime Minister in charge of a government?
As far as the CON Chancellor is concerned: “Me thinks the man protests too much!”
The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so! Swear words are not accepted.
