Just as I thought, it seems that criminals are allowed to rule a country and their angry words can lead us all to another war and I was to believe, at first that this person was just a clown. I can remember the last time I visited the circus and I thought clowns were supposed to be funny and they were highly regarded to carry on the traditions of circus life. The Elephants were excellent as well and they frightened my ex-girlfriend as one decided to stand very close to her. Thankfully, a law change ensured that animals were not to be used to perform tricks! I suppose a clown and a criminal can hide behind a mask, almost like a Jekyll and Hyde situation and when other foreign heads are present the criminal clown behaves properly and when they go it is a different kettle of fish. We can be glad that the clown thought he was being clever and showed the world how ruthless he really is!
Locally there doesn’t seem to be much movement and potholes are getting bigger and Eastbourne Coast Road has been patched up and driving along it is like hiking over rocky mountains, although if you are a passenger in a bus going down Green Street, Eastbourne you could sustain an injury, being jerked about and obviously it doesn’t do the bus any favours mechanically and the drivers haven’t any options but to follow the route. I suppose the County Council are waiting for a fatal accident to happen before mending roads.
Uneven pavements and concrete steps without railings are also included. I have to pay more attention to concrete steps as having to use steps to get down to the main road, I find that the height of each step that might have been accepted in the 1950’s are certainly not lawfully accepted in 2025. Measuring the height of your home stairs height is 7 inches and the concrete steps outside are 8 inches. We often have a group of people maybe three or four who huddle together, keep looking (not measuring) at the steps and doing a few nods of their heads and then going off without speaking to anyone and nothing is ever actioned. The Council are always talking about safety measures for the eldest and yet there are many steps that need railings for support. As much as we would like to think, us older persons would like to stay young and to be able to cope with concrete steps that are an inch higher which must be a terrible burden for the Council to cope with and keep to their promise of making it safer for senior citizens who had voted these people to be Councillors to do the right thing!
Names have not been mentioned to protect the guilty!
